"Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment."- 1Timothy 6:17
Anonymous asked: What would u do if u had a job you loved... but had a manger who you just DID NOT GET ALONG WITH? You love the pay, coworkers & hours. But your manager doesnt talk to you, smile at you, thank you for anything, & seems to be yelling at you instead of communicating w/ you? (And you notice he only acts this way towards u. & of course ure always giving 100% at ur job) Would u quit? Stay? Feedback? I need help :(
It’s always far more complicated when dealing with authority that directly dictates or is in charge of your work environment. And my condolences to you for having to put up with an asshole of a manager. But I applaud you for still putting in the effort to do your job. With that said, I WOULD NOT QUIT. A douchebag manager shouldn’t be enough reason for you to leave. Not unless he/she was approaching you with a non HR friendly demeanor. (and I’m talking about extremes)
But if they refuse to give acknowledgement or any form of praise for your hardwork, screw it. Although being recognized for your “above & beyond” work ethics would be nice, just know at least you’re doing what your job entails. Now as far as being single handily yelled at & ignored- I wouldn’t think much of it. Not all managers touch basis with that & are unaware of how they treat their employees. Kill em with kindness is all I can really say. But if you haven’t already, I’d really suggest confronting your manager in a polite manner to see why he has a stick shoved so far up his ass when it comes to you. Lol. If worse comes to worse, like shit LITERALLY hits the fan.. Then at that time I would leave. But for now, if you love what you do and you enjoy your co-workers, pay & the all around ambiance of your job with the exception of your manager.. Then by all means, tough it out-balls to the wall and stay. Continue to work hard, because whether or not your manager recognizes it.. Your hard work will not go un-rewarded. Hope that helps (:
